• We're inspiring and connecting the next generation of
American Muslim leaders in policymaking and Hollywood.

    READY TO BE NEXT?

  • WHAT ARE THE SUMMITS?

“The Summit changed my life and showed me that my voice matters

and that there is a place for me to make a difference.”

Each year, we hear this sentiment from dozens of American Muslim young leaders from universities around the country who gather in Washington, DC for our Government Young Leaders Summit and in Los Angeles for our Hollywood young Leaders Summit -- and leave changed.

We launched our Summits in 2007 with the goal of developing leaders for America by expanding the pool of talent and voices who can enrich the fields of policy-making and the arts, while also providing leadership development and creating a network of emerging leaders.

Unlike programs where participants may hear lectures or be invited to listen-in on meetings, our delegates get to interact with senior leaders in real, back-and-forth discussions, offer their perspective on issues they’re passionate about, and gain valuable insight about decision-making and launching their own careers.

As a result, we see a palpable increase in the presence of American Muslims serving in public life and media and positively impacting policymaking and storytelling.

  • IN THEIR OWN WORDS

    Hasnain Nazar

    Summit Alum

From the moment I walked in till the time I left, this Summit was one of the best experiences I've had. MPAC and my generation give me great hope about what Muslims can be in this nation.

The 4-day schedule was packed with meaningful and insightful meetings, discussions and a hackathon - where the rubber met the road.

The very practice of taking a challenge to forming an idea and then pitching it to real investors and professionals was an invaluable experience.

MPAC has made a huge impact on how I’ve developed as a leader in the Muslim community.

Before MPAC, I was hesitant, even intimidated, to voice my opinions and make change in my local Muslim community. Oddly enough, this hesitance and intimidation, was present even though I had leadership experience outside the Muslim community.

For some reason, the complicated issue of gender relations within the Muslim community (be it stereotypes or the unfortunate truth), prevented me from having the courage to make a stand for what I believe in. Alhamdulillah, I was accepted into MPAC’s Summit program and this all changed for me!

Words cannot express how grateful I am to have attended the Summit. From our very first session to our last, every single one far exceeded my expectations and left me more inspired than I could’ve imagined.

I found great comfort and reassurance in being surrounded by successful artists and professionals who've achieved tremendous success while keeping their faith.

My sincerest thanks and heartfelt gratitude to the entire MPAC Summit staff that made this possible.

The Summits are so crucial to the development of Muslims in America.

Even if you go to journalism school, you don't have access to the big media outlets. The only way we're going to change the perceptions of people is through the media because that's what they see every day.
